Dr. Cedeno received his bachelor’s degree in chemistry from the University of Pittsburgh. In 2006 he graduated from Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine & Surgery in Miami, Florida. Subsequently, he completed a three-year surgical residency in reconstructive and trauma surgery of the foot and ankle at the Chestnut Hill Hospital/University of Pennsylvania, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, focusing in all areas of Foot, Ankle, and Leg Surgery under the direction of renowned podiatric and orthopaedic surgeons.
In 2009 he completed an exclusive AO International Trauma and Reconstructive Foot and Leg Fellowship under the direction of Dr. Kaj Klaue MD in Lugano, Switzerland.
Dr. Cedeno is also extensively trained in the conservative and surgical treatment of diabetic conditions affecting the lower extremity including limb salvage. He has served as Medical Director for Sentera RMH Wound Healing Center.
Dr. Cedeno has served and continues to serve as Principal Investigator in many clinical research drug and medical device studies. This keeps him at the forefront of new technologies that can be offered to his patients.
Dr. Cedeno is Board Certified in Foot Surgery by the American Board of Foot & Ankle Surgery. He is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Podiatric Surgery. He is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association and Florida & Virginia Podiatric Medical Associations. He is an Associate of the American Podiatric Sports Medicine Association.
He has completed the AO North America Podiatric Basic and Advanced courses, ACFAS Surgical Skills in Foot and Ankle Arthroscopy course, Arthrex Surgical Skills in Sports Medicine Injuries course, The Annual University of Texas San Antonio course in External Fixation, Stryker Podiatry Product Training course, Arthrex Advanced Foot & Ankle Training course, Wright Medical Advances in Foot & Ankle Surgery course, Wright Medical In-Bone II Total Ankle course, Tornier Salto-Tolaris Total Ankle course and the STAR total ankle course. He was the first podiatrist to perform an ankle replacement in the state of Idaho where he previously practiced. He has also given presentations at regional and national podiatric conferences. Dr. Cedeno continues to attend numerous foot and ankle conferences in order to keep up to date with advancing technology and evidence-based medicine.
Dr. Cedeno has authored several publications in the area of foot, ankle, and leg surgery. He is very active in lecturing as well as in teaching the latest surgical procedures to other surgeons. He is a devoted patient advocate who strongly believes that the quality of education and training make a difference in treatment outcomes. A native of Philadelphia, Dr. Cedeno now lives in Jupiter, Florida with his wife Dana and son Eli Cedeno, who is very active in sports. Their daughter Rosie is currently finishing her Bachelor of Science in computer engineering at George Mason University.
